3. James Beattie
Beattie signed for Rangers on a two-year deal back in 2010, but struggled in his time with the club. The former Southampton striker even fuelled the hype around his move to the club himself by claiming to be the next Kris Boyd. He couldn’t even score a goal in ten appearances and had his contract terminated by the club in 2011.
2. Daniel Prodan
Prodan made a grand total of zero appearances in the famous blue shirt during 3 years under contract. Signed in 1998 for £2.2 million, Prodan didn’t even get out of the starting blocks at Ibrox. A serious knee injury suffered during his spell with Athletico Madrid was the cause of the man’s problems.
Rangers fans felt mightily ripped off after a spell, because reports surfaced that his medical certificates had been altered to lie about the fact he couldn’t play due to injury, meaning the Glasgow club were duped into signing a player who was never destined to play any matches.
1. Francisco Sandaza
Francisco Sandaza is a player who left Rangers in disgraceful fashion. He admitted to a hoax football agent that he only signed for the Gers for the money and would leave the club if an alternative offer was made.
Rangers terminated his contract after this was found to be true, and he’s a player that certainly had a forgetful time with the Scottish club.
