Baxter emerged as the standout player for Rangers in the early 1960s, leaving a lasting legacy despite his brief five-year tenure. Joining the club in 1960 for £17,500, he won an impressive 10 trophies, including three Scottish League First Division titles, three Scottish Cups, and four Scottish League Cups.

Though he was inducted into the Scottish Hall of Fame, Baxter’s potential for a world-class career was hindered by gambling and drinking issues, ultimately leading to his retirement at just 31 years old. His talent and influence on the pitch, however, remain a significant part of Rangers’ history.

CM- Barry Ferguson

Ferguson is regarded as one of Rangers’ finest players in recent history. As a pivotal midfielder, he showcased exceptional vision and composure, solidifying his role as a key player for the team.

He captained Rangers from 2000 and led them to a remarkable treble in 2003, which included their 50th league title. Over his 431 appearances, he scored 60 goals and won the Scottish Premier League, Scottish Cup, and Scottish League Cup five times each. Despite his success, Ferguson’s departure was marred by conflict with Walter Smith while on international duty, yet his contributions to the club remain unforgettable.

CAM- Brian Laudrup

The Great Dane, Michael Laudrup, is undoubtedly one of Rangers’ all-time greats, consistently tormenting defenses throughout his time in Scotland. He is widely regarded as the best foreign player to wear the Rangers shirt, captivating fans with his performances that rivaled those of any homegrown star.

Laudrup’s exceptional close control, vision, and precision elevated Rangers’ play to new heights. With a remarkable ability to score with both feet, he netted 45 goals, including the crucial header that secured the famous “Nine in a Row.” His electrifying pace and technical skills left Premier League defenses struggling to contain him, and his departure created a void at Rangers that has yet to be filled.
