Best Premier League Managers : 2021-22 EPL Managers Ranked

7) David Moyes – West Ham United

West Ham played brilliant football last season under Moyes. They finished 6th in the Premier League table and qualified for European football this season. West Ham will expect a similar performance from the team this season as well. He has earned the right to be placed among the best Premier League managers.

6) Ole Gunnar Solskjær – Man Utd

Ole’s men finished 2nd last season just behind Man City, securing a Champions League spot. They will hope go to one step further and win the League title this season. They have strengthened the squad with the signings of Varane, Sancho, and Ronaldo. Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, and Mason Greenwood gave stellar performances last season and the Red Devils surely hope that they can finish with silverware this season.

5) Marcelo Bielsa – Leeds Utd

Bielsa has done a great job with Leeds united. He is the man who ended their long spell of being in second-tier English football. The Argentinian knows quite well how to thrive at the top level. He has unique but efficient tactics and good man-management ability. He is an attack-minded manager and his team were among the top-scoring teams in Premier League last season. They also beat Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium last season. They will hope to replicate the performance this season too.

4) Brendon Rodgers – Leicester City

The Foxes finished 5th last season securing a Europa League spot. In a league of such a high magnitude of competition, Leicester have performed quite astonishingly in the last couple of years. We have to admire the Northern Ireland manager’s masterclass for the 5-2 bashing of Man City at their own backyard last season. They also won the FA Cup beating Chelsea in the final.

3) Thomas Tuchel

The German coach took over from Lampard and has done incredibly well in the short period. Chelsea won the UCl last season beating Man City in the final. They were also the finalist in the FA Cup. Before Chelsea, Tuchel has served as head coach at Borussia Dortmund and PSG, among other clubs. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea can win the Premier League this season.

2) Jürgen Klopp

The winner of the 2019-20 Premier League, the classy and the genius, one and only Jurgen Klopp is second in this list. Liverpool under him in recent seasons have been incredible. He was the talismanic manager who won Liverpool their 19th Premier League title after a wait of 30 long years. He also took the club to two UCL finals, winning one of them. The connection he has with the Reds is very striking, it seems like the German was born to manage the Merseyside club and lead them to glory. He is definitely one of the best Premier League managers.

1) Pep Guardiola – Man City

The Spanish coach is considered one of the most tactically genius managers in the world. He is a manager of great intellect. His possession-based quick transition football is a treat for the eyes. The one-touch passes and defense tearing through balls of Man City players describe how well Guardiola has managed his team. He has very efficiently endorsed Johan Cruyff’s philosophy on the Sky Blues. He has managed great success with the Citizens, having won 3 Premier League titles and 10 overall trophies in his tenure.

    I might switch OGS to 4th and Brendan Rodgers to 7th. Rodgers teams finish seasons poorly and MU seemed to improved under OGS. BTW I hate MU. Getting Leicester to a top six finish is something, but I like I OGS better than Rodgers, and MU talent.
