10 Worst Watford FC Singings Ever

6) Andre Gray

An unlikely name on the list is Andre Gray, a proven Premier League goalscorer. He signed for Watford in 2017 from Burnley after a successful campaign for the Clarets netting 10 goals to save them from the drop.

The Move seemed a no-brainer but 4 years and only 19 goals later, it can be said, that the move just hadn’t worked out for Gray. Despite having a fantastic record in English lower leagues, Gray couldn’t find his feet at the Vicarage Road.

Gray is still at the club upon their return to the Premier League but looking at the signings Watford have made, it doesn’t seem as though he’ll be getting much game time for a potential redemption.

5) Craig Dawson

Another unlikely name on the list is Craig Dawson, an Ex-West Brom stalwart. He had just come off a brilliant season with West Ham United in the Premier League. But things with the new club didn’t go according to plan.

Dawson made 29 appearances for the club that year as they were relegated from the Premier League. He lost his spot in the starting XI in the Championship.

He was then loaned out to West Ham in 2020. His move to West Ham was made permanent this year.

4) Steve Kabba

Steve Kabba was signed by Watford in the January of 2007 as the club was struggling at the bottom of the table.

Kabba, though, made no difference for the Hornets. He scored zero goals in the league as the club were relegated to the Championship.

Kabba’s fortunes didn’t change as he only netted once in the Championship before being shipped off the club. He is, without a doubt, one of the worst Watford FC signings ever.
