10. West Ham United [306.25 mil. €]
West Ham spent £78m in the summer of 2019 as they aimed to better 10th-place finish in Manuel Pellegrini’s second season at the helm. Things didn’t go well in the next season as they barely managed to survive relegation, finishing 16th.
Declan rice(€49.50m) is considered West Ham’s most valuable, followed by Sebastien Haller, Isa Diop and Felipe Anderson.
9. Wolverhampton Wanderers [344.40 mil. €]
Given that they finished seventh last season, it’s a little surprising that Wolves are 9th in this ranking. Nuno Espirito Santo’s group is valued at 342.40 mil. € by Transfermarkt, despite the fact that their squad has the youngest average age in the top flight.
Ruben Neves, tops the pile with over at €50m valuation, with Raul Jimenez, Adama Traore and Leander Dendoncker, come next in line.
8. Everton FC [411.85 mil. €]
Everton have packed their squad with highly-valued players, as well as failing to shift some expensive fringe players, and this leaves the Toffees with a squad worth 411.85 mil. €. The club finished the league at 12th position last season and that has affected the squad value.
Their most valuable player is Richarlison(€52m), followed by Lucas Digne(€28m) and Jordan Pickford(€28m).
7. Leicester City [450.5 mil. €]
Leicester’s midfield stars account for more than £100m of their squad’s market value, with James Maddison(€55m), Wilfred Ndidi (€45m) and Youri Tielemans (€44m) being the top three.
Their most impactful player, Jamie Vardy is only valued €16m, most likely because of his age(33). Defender Caglar Soyunchu and Ben Chilwell are both valued at €40m each.
6. Arsenal FC [576.85 mil. €]
Arsenal does still have some stars in its squad, but it isn’t getting any younger. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang recently turned 31 this summer, Mesut Özil is already 31 and the Gunners’ defense is aging as well, which is likely why they land at sixth. Their last summer signing, Nicolas Pepe, was not able to perform up to the standard in his first season at the club.
Their most valuable player Aubameyang is worth €56m only in this corona hit world. The next most valuable asset is Lacazette(€48m), followed by Nicolas Pepe(€45m).
