Spurs have the fifth most valuable squad in the Premier League. The large market value for Harry Kane carries Spurs almost single-handedly (€120m). Heung-min Son (€85m) and Tanguy Ndombele (€50m) account for another €135m.

4. Manchester United [€717.95m]

Manchester United were the league’s biggest spenders last summer, sanctioning purchases worth a combined £148m. Yet despite being one of the division’s top two cash-splashers in recent years, the Red Devils only rank fourth in squad value. Bruno Fernandes is their biggest asset with a value of €90m. Followed up by Rashford and Pogba, being valued at €85m and €60m respectively. Surprisingly, youngster Mason Greenwood(€50m) is valued higher than Harry Maguire(€40m).

3. Chelsea FC [€779.80m]

With the addition of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz to their squad last summer, their squad value is among the top three again. Havertz is worth more than any of his teammates according to Transfermarkt’s calculations, with the Frenchman valued at €70m. Next up is Werner, followed by Mount and Kante.

2. Liverpool [€1.01bn]

The current Premier League champions, Liverpool, kept their powder dry in the last summer transfer market, opting against making any major additions to a squad that won the Champions League and finished second in the Premier League that season. Despite the lack of new faces, the Reds’ ranks still contain plenty of valuable players. Smart player investments have seen Liverpool’s valuation rise because of players like Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah along with their two-star fullbacks.

1. Manchester City [€1.03bn]

It’s no secret that Manchester City have spent bucketloads of cash in recent years, but it’s still extraordinary that the Premier League champions’ squad is considered to be worth more than €1bn, with an average of £45.58m per player. Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne both break the €100m barrier, while Bernardo Silva, Foden, Rodri, Dias comes close at €70m. City have no fewer than 11 players who are valued at €50m or above – which is a big part of the reason they are one of the best clubs in the world.
