3. Shaun Wright Phillips

Shaun Wright-Phillips came through the ranks at Manchester City and established himself as one of the top wingers in the Premier League. His pace, agility and crossing ability left everyone raving.

As a result, Chelsea came calling and he joined the Londoners in 2005. With the Blues, Wright-Phillips won the Premier League but scored just four league goals in three seasons before making a return to his former club.

In his second spell with the Citizens, the former England international regained some form but was soon offloaded to Queens Park Rangers. He is still quite popular with City fans.

2. Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne joined Chelsea in 2012 and after a successful loan spell at Werder Bremen. He became part of the first-team squad in 2013 when Jose Mourinho was manager. However, the Portuguese never gave him the chance to prove himself and he was soon sold to Wolfsburg.

With the Bundesliga club, De Bruyne became one of the premier attacking midfielders and joined Manchester City in 2015. Since then, he has become one of the best players in the Premier League. He has helped The Sky Blues to three Premier League titles among a host of other trophies.

1. Frank Lampard

Frank Lampard, a true Chelsea legend, won three Premier League titles, the Champions League and the Europa League at Stamford Bridge before leaving the club in 2014 as their all-time top goalscorer.

He joined MLS side New York City but then was loaned out immediately to their sister club Manchester City for the 2014/15 season. Lampard played regularly for the Citizens and even scored against Chelsea, choosing not to celebrate his goal. He then returned to New York where he spent two years before hanging up his boots.
