Wycombe Wanderers currently play in the championship. The home ground of the club is Adams Park which hasn’t always been their home. They played for 95 years in Loakes Park before moving. One year after moving to Adams Park, Wycombe won the FA Trophy in 1991 and then again in 1993 and were finalists of the FA Cup in 2001. They are a one-time Football Conference champion and 8 times Isthmian League winner. They are, without a doubt, one of the biggest football clubs in South-East England.

The underdog winner of the 2015 FA Cup, Reading FC, was founded in 1871 which makes the club one of the oldest ones in England football history. They joined the English Football League after 49 years of their establishment in 1920 and have finished 8th in the top tier (Premier League) in the 2006-07 season, which is their best result so far. The club went through a financial crisis in the ’90s. Reading holds the record for the most number of points gained in a single league season with 106 points in the 2005–06 Football League Championship campaign. They have also the record for the number of successive league wins (13) at the start of a season.
