The Czech striker signed a four year contract with Norwich City in 2007, after the back of a impressive campaign with Baník Ostrava. But his career failed to take off in England. Strihavka scored just once in 11 appearances before his contract was mutually terminated in January 2008. It’s fair to say that Strihavka had a hard time in Norfolk, making him one of the worst Norwich City signings ever.

Another who failed to fire when Norwich following his arrival at Carrow Road, was Steven Naismith. He scored just the one goal in 13 games during that 2015/16 relegation season, leaving his future at the club uncertain.

The following season brought an unimpressive seven goals from 32 outings in all competitions, while injury restricted Naismith’s chances during the 2017/18 campaign, with the striker joining Hearts on loan in January 2018.

The Dutchman was given a trial by Bruce Rioch, who sent him packing having presumably realised that he wasn’t good enough. Unfortunately Rioch’s successor, Bryan Hamilton thought otherwise, signed him up. The left back went on to play 22 times for Norwich. He never seemed comfortable, and thus Bryan Hamilton realised that Bruce Rioch was right all along.
