10. Kenny Dalglish [167 Goals in 322 Apps]

Kenny Dalglish is Scotland’s most-capped player (102 appearances) and joint-leading goal scorer (30 goals). He’s a member of the Scottish and English Football Halls of Fame. Dalglish began his career with Celtic in 1967, joining full-time in 1968. At Celtic, he formed a lethal partnership with Dixie Deans and Harry Hood, terrorizing defenses with his vision, creativity, and goal-scoring prowess. His stamina, heart, and teamwork made him nearly unstoppable. He won four Scottish First Divisions, four Scottish Cups, and one Scottish League Cup.

Dalglish’s playing style was characterized by his exceptional vision, precision passing, and clinical finishing. He was a versatile forward, capable of playing anywhere across the front line. In 1977, Liverpool signed Dalglish for a record £440,000. His departure from Celtic was met with discontent from fans, who booed him at Stein’s testimonial in 1978. Despite this, Dalglish was voted into the Greatest Ever Celtic Team and Liverpool’s Greatest Ever Player.

9. Jimmy McMenemy [169 Goals in 516 Apps]

James McMenemy, nicknamed “Napoleon” for resembling Napoleon Bonaparte, joined Celtic in 1902 from Rutherglen Glencairn. He became one of Celtic’s top 10 goalscorers of all time, renowned for his quick feet, precise heading, and exceptional passing ability.

McMenemy’s tactical awareness and calm demeanor allowed him to control games, even in intense matches. A key player in Celtic’s dominant era, he won 11 championships. He helped Celtic overcome a 2-0 deficit to defeat Rangers 3-2 in the 1904 Scottish Cup Final. John “Yogi” Hughes, one of Celtic FC’s top goal-scorers, joined the club in 1959 from Shotts Bon Accord.
