12 Greatest Norwich City Managers Ever
3. Daniel Farke
It proved to be an excellent decision by the management, not sacking the German coach right after the side got relegated back in 2020. Farke won Norwich City their 5th Championship title, the very next season after getting relegated. Daniel Farke has been in charge of the club for 4 seasons now and he has won the second-tier competition two times, getting the team promoted twice.
He managed a total of 193 games, out of which he won 84, which means a win percentage of 43.5. He is among the coaches with the best statistical records for the club. If he can get the team to keep performing the way they are, his side can remain in the Premier League for a long time.
2. Mike Walker
The Welshman had two tenures with the Norwich club, with the first one being statistically better than the second one. In his first season in charge of the senior team, he provided the club with their best-ever finish in the new FA Premier League, finishing third, which resulted in qualification for the 1993/94 UEFA Cup.
It was the first time Norwich had qualified for a European competition. He quit the managerial job in January 1994 after falling out with management. Walker then returned again at the Carrow Road in 1996 after spending a season with Everton and left the Norwich club 2 seasons after not being able to get the team promoted back to the Premiership.
1. Ken Brown
Ken Brown is the longest-serving manager in the history of Norwich City. He was in charge at Carrow Road for 7 years in which he managed 367 games, out of which 150 went his way and 93 were drawn. It gave him a win percentage of 40.9.
Under the English gaffer, the team won the League cup in 1985 and were the second-tier champions in 1986. He also has a place in the Norwich City Hall of fame. In 1986-87, Ken Brown’s team topped the league in the first half of the season which finally led to 5th place in the League, which was, at that time, their highest ever final position.
