3. Erik ten Hag

Ajax’s Erik ten Hag was understood to be high up Levy’s list. The 51-year-old has won everything domestically with the Dutch giants and would command a smaller fee to lure to north London. He has enjoyed plenty of success at Ajax, winning two league titles and two Dutch Cups.

The Amsterdam-based side stormed to the Eredivisie this year, scoring 102 goals in 34 matches and finishing 16 points above their nearest rivals PSV Eindhoven. However, he recently signed a contract extension with the Dutch giants to keep with the club till 2023.

2. Antonio Conte

The former Chelsea boss recently parted with the Italian giant Inter Milan, after leading the club to the scudetto this season. He is a tempting proposition for Daniel Levy given his track record of delivering titles. However, he is a man who likes to control the transfers of the club, something Daniel Levy might find it hard to give up control over.

1. Mauricio Pochettino

Yup, that’s right. Former Spurs’ boss is now the odds on favorite to become their next boss. Pochettino is reportedly in talks with Spurs over a return to the north London club that would see him leave Paris Saint-Germain after less than six months in charge.

Mauricio Pochettino was sacked by Spurs in November 2019; he won the French Super Cup and Coupe de France with PSG after taking over at the Parc des Princes in January but failed to deliver the Ligue 1 title. Failure to deliver the league title and semifinal exit in the UCL did land in hot waters at PSG and could be one of the reasons for him to rejoin Tottenham Hotspur.
