In 1886 munitions workers at the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich founded the club as Dial Square. The club changed its name to Royal Arsenal a month later. They later changed the name of Woolwich Arsenal and finally to Arsenal in 1913. In 2006, they moved to the Emirates Stadium from Highbury.

Arsenal was the first club from the South of England to join The Football League, in 1893, and they reached the First Division in 1904. Relegated only once, in 1913, they continue the longest streak in the top division. The club has won 13 league titles, a record 14 FA Cups, two League Cups and one European Cup Winners’ Cup.

Liverpool were founded in 1892 and joined the Football League the following year. They have played at Anfield since its formation. The club has won nineteen League titles, seven FA Cups, a record eight League Cups and six European Cups among a host of other trophies.

Liverpool has long-standing rivalries with Manchester United and Everton. In recent years, they have also developed a rivalry with Manchester City. The club is famous for having a very passionate fanbase. The club’s anthem is “You’ll Never Walk Alone”.

Aston Villa were founded in 1894. They were a founding member of the Football League in 1888 and the Premier League 1992. they have played at their home ground, Villa Park, since 1897. Villa have a fierce local rivalry with Birmingham City and the Second City derby between the teams has been played since 1879.

Villa are one of only five English clubs to have won the European Cup, in 1981–82. They have also won the Football League First Division seven times, the FA Cup seven times, the League Cup five times, and the European Super Cup once.

Everton has won a list of trophies including nine League titles, five FA Cups, and European Cup Winners’ Cup. Everton is the second-longest continuous serving club in English top flight football. Everton’s main rivals are Liverpool, whose home stadium at Anfield is just under one mile away from Everton’s home at Goodison Park, and the two clubs contest the Merseyside derby.
