15 Notable Players Omitted From FIFA’s FIFPRO World XI 2017 Shortlist
Fédération Internationale des Associations de Footballeurs Professionnels, also known as FIFPRO, is the worldwide representative organization for professional footballers. Each year, ever since 2005, FIFPRO along with its member associations invites footballers from around the world to vote for and compose their best team of the year. The final World XI is then announced at the FIFA’s annual award ceremony.
This year, around 25,000 footballers from 75 different countries voted for the initial 55-member shortlist, the final XI of which will be announced in London at the Best FIFA Football Awards on October 23.
