10 Best Premier League Teams In 2023 Calendar Year Ranked

2023 marked the end of another action-packed footballing year. Manchester City won the league in the 2022-23 season, while Arsenal finished second. Liverpool was on the top of the Premier League table for 2023-24 at the end of this year, while Villa were second only on goal difference. Thus, we thought ranking the ten best Premier League teams in 2023 would be interesting.

Here are the ten best Premier League teams in the 2023 calendar year;

10. Wolves [Matches – 41, Points – 56]

Wolves finished 13th in the Premier League last season under manager Julen Lopetegui. However, he parted ways with the club before the start of the season and Gary O’Neil was brought in to replace him. O’Neil has done a decent job so far, and the club is placed in 11th place at the end of the year 2023.

9. West Ham [Matches – 40, Points – 59]

West Ham were below average in the league last season, however, they ended up winning the UEFA Conference League. They finished 14th in the Premier League table in the 2022-23 season, and are currently placed in much better 6th place for the 2023-24 season.

8. Newcastle United [Matches – 40, Points – 66]

Newcastle had a great last season, which saw them qualify for the Champions League ahead of Liverpool. According to the standards shown last year, they are having a below-average 2023-24 season, and are currently placed in the 9th place at the end of the year.

7. Brighton [Matches – 41, Points – 68]

Brighton’s attacking football under Roberto De Zerbi has been quite scintillating at times. They finished the last season in 6th place and thus qualified for the Europa League. This season they are in seventh place currently at the end of calendar year 2023. Their 2023 stats read; played 41, won – 19, points – 68.

6. Tottenham [Matches – 42, Points – 69]

Tottenham Hotspur have become a different entity under Ange Postecoglou and looked to be genuine title challengers at the start of the term, however, injuries to multiple players derailed them. Having finished the 2022-23 season in 8th place, they are currently in 5th place for the 2023-24 season.
