Andy Goram is without a doubt the best goalkeeper in the history of the Rangers. He was once considered the best goalkeeper in the whole world. He played for many good teams but he is best remembered for playing for Rangers during the 1990s when he earned the nickname “The Goalie”. Goram was also voted as the greatest Rangers goalkeeper by a Rangers fan pole. He won the Premier League title with Manchester United in 2000-01 when he was a loanee there. He played a total of 184 matches for the Teddy Bears.

2) John Greig

The Scottish defender played his entire career with the Rangers. He was voted as the greatest Ranger ever by the fans in 1999 and has also been elected to the Rangers’ Hall of Fame. He has 755 appearances for the Rangers, the most by any Rangers player. Greig started his career with the Gers as a forward, later moving to the midfield and finally as a left-back. He scored 120 goals for the club. He was known for his leadership qualities and the fighting till the end attitude. Greig was also captain of the side when they won the 1972 European Cup Winners’ Cup which is the only European trophy they have ever won.

Ally McCoist will be remembered as the club’s greatest-ever goalscorer courtesy of the 355 goals he scored in 581 games. He is also the player with 3rd most appearances for the Ibrox Stadium club. He was once Europe’s most lethal striker. McCoist won 9 league titles and 9 league cups. He was also the first Scot to win 2 golden boots which he won in 1992 and 1993. He was also the manager of the Rangers between 2011 and 2014. McCoist was also inaugurated into the Scotland Football Hall of Fame, having gained 61 international caps.
