From relative nobody to Europe’s next big thing in a matter of months, the Norwegian’s explosive bursts and formidable finishing earned him a move to the Bundesliga in January. His feats since then include – among several others – 13 goals in 11 starts, a debut hat-trick inside 23 minutes, and becoming the first Dortmund player to score on his Bundesliga, DFB Pokal and Champions League debuts.

The 20-year-old has the world at his feet and has even displayed his talents against Europe’s elite, becoming the first teenager to score ten Champions League goals in a single campaign. That took him just seven games, making Haaland the quickest player to reach double figures in the competition’s history.

2. Harry Kane

Winning the Golden Boot at the 2018 World Cup in Russia capped a remarkable few years for Kane, who has soared from Tottenham reserve to becoming one of the best strikers on the planet since 2014.

He became a regular starter for Tottenham in the 2014–15 season, in which he scored 31 goals across the campaign, 21 of which in the league, and was named the PFA Young Player of the Year. Kane finished the top scorer of both the 2015–16 and the 2016–17 Premier League seasons and won the Golden Boot.

Finishing is Kane’s standout attribute, but he’s also a brilliant passer who often drifts into deeper areas to pick up possession and bring team-mates into play. And although the 27-year-old isn’t the quickest, he’s an expert at finding half a yard of space in and around the penalty area. A true all-rounder.

A complete forward, who epitomizes everything and anything you’d want from a striker in your side, the Pole is insanely consistent. He bags goals, goals, and more goals, goes on crushing scoring rampages, and also acts as the perfect foil to bring his teammates into play.

The 32-year-old remains one of the best strikers in the world right now, as he continues to demonstrate at Bayern Munich. Lewandowski has broken the 40-goal barrier in all competitions in each of the last four full seasons, and his touch, movement, and link-up play are still outstanding.
