Premier League is one of the most watched football league in the world. Fans around the world support their team with passion and dedication. Some of the clubs are more supported than the others and in this article we have ranked the Premier league Clubs according to their percentage attendance.

20. Tottenham Hotspur [78.1%]

Following the demolition of White Hart Lane, Wembley provides a temporary base for the north Londoners and a time to test the size of their fan base. Spurs will play all home fixtures at Wembley Stadium during this season at full 90,000 capacity.

Even though the fact that attendance figure of 80,827 against Liverpool set a new record mark both in the Premier League and for the Club for a home league match, their average attendance so far has only been 70,331 ,which is only 78.1% of full capacity.

19. West Brom [83.7%]

The average attendance at the Hawthorns so far has been around 25k which is 4.9k less than their capacity. West Brom’s dodgy start to the season may have contributed to that. Last season, The Hawthorns was 87.5% full on an average, so the attendance may improve as the season goes on.

18. Burnley [89.9%]

Burnley have made a very good start to the season , with the Sean Dyche’s side collecting 22 points from the first 13 matches. However , this impressive start have not resulted in a massive turnout and their average attendance has only been 20,261.

17. Bournemouth [92.5%]

Bournemouth has the smallest stadium in the Premier League with a full capacity of just 11,464. But even with small capacity, Dean Court has only been 92.5% full so far this season, with an average turnout of 10,601.

16. Watford [94.0%]

Watford’s average attendance this season has been 20,276 ,which is 94.0% of Vicarage Road’s capacity. They have collected an impressive 21 points in 14 games so far this season.

15. Southampton [95.1%]

The capacity of Southampton’s St Mary’s Stadium is 32,700 and it has been 95.1% full so far this season. Their average attendance last season was 94% ,so they are attracting more crowds this season so far. They currently sit 11th in Premier League table.

14. Crystal Palace [96.4%]

Things might be going pretty badly for Crystal Palace but that doesn’t stop the fans turning up whatever. It’s widely acknowledged that Eagles supporters are some of the best around, producing brilliant fan displays on a regular basis, and creating one of the most imposing atmospheres in the Premier League. Despite being at the bottom of the league ,  24,727 Palace fans turn out per game on an average , which is 96.4% of the full capacity.

13. Leicester City [97.1%]

Leicester are currently 9th in the PL table and their average attendance has been 97.1% ,which is slightly less than their attendance of 98.3% last season. The capacity of their King Power stadium is 32,500.

12. Everton [97.8%]

Everton are currently having a tough start to the season with the team currently sitting at the 13th position in the league, collecting just 15 points from 14 games. However their poor form is not affecting the attendance for their games , as they continue to receive support from the fans. Their average attendance so far has been 38,643.

11. Manchester City [98.1%]

Unbeaten in the league so far, Manchester City have made a dream start to the season. They have collected 40 points from the possible 42 so far. As a result of the their superb start , 54050 fans visit Etihad per matchday on an average ,which is 5th highest in the league and is 98.1% of Etihad’s capacity of 55097.

10. Huddersfield [98.2%]

Playing in the Premier League for the very first season, Huddersfield have attracted  24,067 fans per game on average , which is 98.2% of their stadium’s capacity of 24,500.

9. Liverpool [98.3%]

Liverpool fans are known over the world for their passion and dedication towards their team. They are unarguably among the most passionate supporters in the league.The passion can be seen in the attendance as 53,176 Liverpool fans attend home games on average, which is slightly greater than last season’s attendance of 98% per game.

8. Arsenal [98.4%]

Arsenal have been the best-supported among the top 6 PL sides over the last five seasons, with their average attendances at 99.4% of the 60,355 capacity of the Emirates.  This season so far their average attendance has been 59,352, which is 98.4% of Emirates stadium’s capacity. However ,these figures are expected to go up as the season heads towards the festive season.

7. Brighton & Hove Albion [98.5%]

Newly promoted side Brighton have made a good start to the season, collecting 17 points from the first 14 games and sitting at the 10th position in the league table. Their good form has attracted fans to the stadium , with 30,279 people attending every home game on an average.

6. Swansea City [98.5%]

Being the only Welsh team to play in the Premier League, Swansea City have enjoyed constant support and encouragement from their passionate fans. Although they made a poor start to this season, their fans have always remained loyal to them. Despite the club being at 19th position in the league ,  20,619 Swansea supporters visit Liberty stadium every matchday ,which is 98.5% of the stadium’s capacity.

In terms of average attendance , Manchester United tops the PL chart with 75,028 fans per game, which is 99.1% of Old Trafford’s capacity.

4. Chelsea [99.2%]

Defending Champions Chelsea have some of the most enthusiastic fans around, with a wide following of people of every age. Whether their team has won or lost, the Chelsea fans will provide their players with unconditional support, surrounding them in a sea of blue flags and cheering them on loudly at every game. So far this season their average attendance has been 41,493 , 99.2% of Stamford Bridge’s full capacity of 41,841.

3. Stoke City [99.3%]

Playing away at Stoke is one of the toughest games for any Premier League side. They have a good fan base ,who support their team will full passion. The average attendance this season so far has been 29,464 ,which is 99.3% of their stadium’s full capacity.

2. Newcastle United [99.5%]

The club continues to be one of the best-supported in Britain and, indeed, in Europe. Their average attendance this season has been 52,134 ,which is 99.5% of their stadium’s capacity.

Fans of West Ham are as passionate as they come, and although their team is not performing well , the West Ham fans continue to support their team with unfaltering enthusiasm, cheering their team on through thick and thin. They are one of the most loyal fan bases in the UK. Their average attendance this season so far has been 56,953 ,which is 99.9% of their stadium’s capacity. Insane numbers!
